Commissioning warehouse management system
We ensure secure implementation and stabilisation
Commissioning, realisation and acceptance of the logistics software
We support you during and after the entire implementation
The commissioning of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or also Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a very complex and time-consuming project. The WMS implementation will require quite a large impact on your logistics and daily business. Therefore, detailed planning and allocation of human resources throughout the implementation period is very important. Daily business and project business compete with each other in time. The implementation of new strategies, structures, systems, processes or behaviours require far-reaching changes within an organisation. Your company and your employees should be prepared for your new activities, tasks and processes in good time. Often this topic is considered relatively late in the project.
Structured project planning with extensive system testing reduces risks and prevents additional costs
We take over the complete project management — your day-to-day business thus remains in focus
We accompany you from the preparation, through the implementation to the commissioning of your warehouse management software to guarantee a smooth transition of the GoLive. To this end, we can actively manage the requirements specification phase and conduct supplier discussions. To ensure flawless software quality, we prepare the documentation for system tests, which are planned and coordinated by us. System tests are defined by the system provider itself, but also together with you as the customer, in order to fully incorporate your future goals.
Intensive preparation and planning are just as essential as providing the resources of time, budget and staff.

The path to safe commissioning of a warehouse management system
Our steps in detail
- 1. Specification phase
The creation of the requirements specification forms the basis of all activities and functions of the warehouse management software to be introduced. The requirements specification defines how the specifications of the requirements specification are to be implemented. The requirements specification is an integral part of the contract between you and the system supplier. We actively support you and take part in the requirements specification workshops.
- 2. Introduction planning
During implementation planning, we create a detailed schedule for software implementation in cooperation with you. We take the available resources and the budget into account when planning the schedule. There is a lively exchange with you and the system supplier to coordinate the schedule. We control and monitor the complete schedule during the entire commissioning of the WMS.
- 3. Realisation
In this phase, we ensure that all functions, configurations and interfaces of the warehouse management software are realised by the system provider. Master data and other warehouse data are transferred from the existing system to a test system. This data migration requires close consideration, as this data forms the basic framework for the software.
- 4. Commissioning and testing
We take over the complete test management for you and plan the necessary system tests based on your processes. Together with you, we create the test plans, coordinate the corresponding sprints with your test team and thus ensure a secure logistics software implementation. We also provide the necessary infrastructure and test management platform for a successful implementation.
- 5. Go Live
The go-live phase in LVS commissioning is associated with some risks. However, the risks can be minimised through good preparation and sufficient system tests. We structure and plan the entire go-live with you.
- 6. System stabilisation
Following a successful go-live of the warehouse management system, we are happy to support you in the hypercare phase and identify bugs and potentials of the warehouse management software in order to stabilise it in the long term.
